Tape Music Suite Documentation
Tape Music Suite plays the music you already own. Tape on your computer is your music hub; the Tape Music Hub phone app plays from it, at home and away from home. There is no streaming catalog and no subscription: your files stay yours.

- New to Tape? Follow Getting started: install on your computer, add your music, pair your phone.
- Not sure how to set it up? Choose your setup: computer + phone, away from home, an always-on server, several devices, or hub to hub.
- Already running? Jump to Features, Phone pairing & remote or Licenses & modules.
What Tape does
- you keep your own folders and files
- you do not upload your library to a third-party catalog
- your phone uses the same library your computer already knows about
- remote access, pairing and sharing are built on top of that hub

Pricing and licensing
Tape Music Suite is mainly intended as a one-time-purchase app that becomes your opinionated personal music hub. It is a side project I plan to keep pushing for the long term. It is sold as V1, V1 PRO and Lifetime licenses, with optional modules you can also buy one by one (see Licenses and Modules); there is no subscription.
- Your files stay yours — there is no subscription to a third-party music catalog.
- Remote streaming (phone away from home / off the hub’s usual LAN) is gated by a paid desktop license on the hub, sold through the landing site (opens in a new tab). Optional features (duplicates, analysis, enrichment, wishlist, collaborative playlists) are paid modules.
- My intention is to open source core modules as soon as they are ready, so the community can build themes and add-ons for personalizing Tape Music Hub.
For the exact legal wording, use the product site: Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).
